My Story

Laurianne Schell

I have taken courses in History, Anthropology, English, and Religious Studies, and I received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Dramatic Arts (Design) from the University of Lethbridge. I have over 30 years’ experience in business administration and have written print materials and web content for many industries during my career.

While raising my two children, I became founding editor of the Evergreen Edge newsletter in Calgary, Alberta. I produced 11 newsletters each year for over 5400 homes. I collected and compiled news articles, wrote human interest pieces, and photographed cover shots. In 2009, I wrote and published my first two books, a genealogy book dedicated to my grandmother, and an illustrated journal dedicated to the miracle of my son’s recovery from a fatal illness.

My passion for genealogy and family stories has led me to extensively research many families over the past nearly 20 years. I have written and published over 18 original books, including thousands of beautiful pages, and have sold over 200 published copies to date. I organize information and photos in a way that the reader can easily understand, and create beautiful legacy documents and books that can be passed down for generations.
